										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Custom laminated Teflon Coated Glass Fabric Cylinders and Laminates are designed and manufactured to be used in some of the most demanding environments imaginable. The pure Teflon® bonding in each layer means more PTFE exposure as the laminate wears. American Durafilm Co., Inc’s process for laminating TCGF cylinders allows the bearing cages made from these cylinders to maintain lubricity over their lifetime, while experiencing minimal degradation.</p>
<h2>Cylinders</h2>
<p>Cylinders are made with and inside diameter range of .5” to 8.4” with various outside diameters as required. These custom blanks are machined in order to be used as bearing cages for high performance bearings utilizing liquid oxygen lubrication. Many of these cages are utilized in rocket and jet engine design as they have excellent wear and lubrication characteristics.</p>

Because conventional shapes (flat film, sheets, tubing, extruded profiles, die-cut parts, etc.) are often too expensive and cumbersome for specific design applications, thermoformed parts become attractive cost-effective alternatives to the engineer who may desire the properties of Teflon <sup>®</sup> or our other high performance thermoplastic materials.</p>
<h2>Advantages of Thermoforming</h2>
<p>Through thermoforming, Teflon<sup>®</sup> FEP, Teflon<sup>®</sup> PFA and Tefzel<sup>®</sup> film can be formed into three-dimensional shapes to take advantage of one or more of the above unique properties. Flat films with thicknesses of .002 ” to .020″ have been successfully formed for end uses in the following industries: lighting, pharmaceutical, chemical, aerospace, molding, electronics and many others.</p>

<p>This custom addition allows any bag made from FEP or Kapton® film to be transformed into an easy-to-use and resealable container for use in labs or in the field for sampling.
